Cassidy](https://jasonwdcassidy.com/blog/author/jason-w-d-cassidy) Jul 15, 2024   Jason and Davey discuss the current state of the tech industry and the potential for a recovery. They talk about the consolidation of big tech companies, the refinement of messaging and use cases, and the impact of interest rates on the industry. They also touch on the perennial hype around quantum computing and its potential implications. The conversation discusses the need to differentiate between final records and the ephemeral content that goes into producing them. The lack of clear direction and how standards in managing ephemeral data leads to confusion and the tendency to either keep everything forever or do nothing emphasising the importance of having a playbook or framework to manage ephemeral data effectively.       **Tags:** [EI,](https://jasonwdcassidy.com/blog/tag/ei) [Podcast](https://jasonwdcassidy.com/blog/tag/podcast) ![Jason W.
